Frank Yan of Sacramento on Things To Do On a 3 Day Weekend

A 3 day weekend is always the most perfect time to enjoy the activities that you most like. If you are like Frank, he typically plans his 3 day weekends 2 weeks prior. Frank Yan will first like to take advantage of leaving his Sacramento home and travel somewhere far. Whether if it’s the Bay Area, Lake Tahoe, a 2 hour driving distance from Sacramento or a 2 hour flight to his favorite destinations Los Angeles, Las Vegas, or San Diego. Frank is up for anything.

If you and your friends have ahead of you a long weekend and still do not know what to do, Frank has a few suggestions and solutions that hopefully will help you take a decision. First of all, you could use the long weekend to sleep. As many of us would say that sleep is something we don’t get enough of. After many hours of work, or study, sleeping without interruption is great. Take it from Frank Yan, he loves his napping. You should do it. You can continue with relaxing activities like reading, getting a massage, go to a show, or even cooking. If you have a pile of books laying round waiting for you to make time to read them, a long weekend is the perfect time to get started. Reading will help you relax once you get lost in words and you discover new worlds, as well as live within what you are reading. If you are sports passionate, you can use your long weekends in an active, yet relaxing manner.

Because sports fill you with energy and excitement, you should take advantage of your free time and energize your batteries. Go to the gym, go jogging, go biking, or simply take long walks in order to make some effort and to relax afterwards. If you enjoy the fun in cooking, a long weekend you will have enough time to try new recipes, cuisines, and to test out new ingredients. You surely will have something new that you would want to try. If you have enough time, you should do it in order to take advantage of many free hours available.

If you consider that your long weekend is not for relaxation, but rather for intense and active activities, you could do to great things, party or travel away. Either one you chose it will be great for you. If you like to travel, like Frank, you can either check some new places in a nearby area, where you can go by tour bus, train, or car or you can opt for a city break away from Sacramento, if you find some low cost airline tickets. Partying will cost you less, but it involves a great need of rest afterwards. If you still prefer it, you can prepare intensively for hard partying and enjoy your long weekend dancing and drinking in or out in town.

Frank Yn of Sacramento on Eating Larger Portions Earlier

Frank Yan of Sacramento posts a related artticle Reducing Your Diabetes Levels

Frank Yan of Sacramento says if you want feel full while keeping your weight down, we should eat your biggest meal of the day during breakfast. Eating more calories in the early part of our day morning can increase weight loss.

If your the one that nibbles at breakfast or run out the door without eating anything at all, then eat a hearty sized lunch, and then stuff yourself at dinner. Does this sound about right or familiar? You are at all alone. It is, after all, the way the majority of us were brought up to eat.

As kids we were taught to clean our plates after we ate a meal. However Frank Yan suggests that the way to feel full through out our days, and even lose the weight we want, is to consume your biggest meal in the morning, then progressively less through out the entire day.

Frank Yan read an article while sipping at his local Starbucks in Sacramento researchers test this theory and placed 2 groups of dieters on the same 1,500 calorie meal plan for 12 weeks. One group ate 800 calories at breakfast, 600 at lunch, and 300 at dinner. The second group’s calories were distributed in exactly the opposite way 300 calories at breakfast and 800 for dinner. Those in the big-breakfast group ended up shedding 18 pounds, while those in the big-dinner group lost only 8 pounds. The big breakfast group displayed significantly lower levels of glucose, insulin, and triglycerides through out the entire day, which means a lower risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and elevated LDL cholesterol levels.

Frank Yan of Sacramento on Andrographis and Vitamin C

Frank Yan of Sacramento posts a related article: How Get Over a Cold Fast

It's flu and cold season. And many people in and around Sacramento have been suffering from sickness. Frank Yan a resident of Sacramento says to be prepared to fight against this flu.

Know which 2 remedies can nip the flu it in the butt. Though your local Sacramento drug store or pharmacy is loaded up with a multitude of flu and cold meds, there are really just a couple of things that have actually been proven to speed up a flu or cold. They are: andrographis, vitamin C and of course your mom’s homemade chicken soup. Take regular doses of these the moment you start feeling symptoms. That’s 500 mg of vitamin C 4 times per day, with plenty of water, for the next 2 or 3 days or andrographis as 48 mg of standardized andrographolide extract 3 times daily. Frank Yan mentions that these remedies, in combination, can reduce the average time that a flu or cold lasts from roughly 5 days to 3.

Frank Yan of Sacramento on Steps To A Healthier You

Frank Yan is a huge fitness fanatic. Frank says that we don’t always have to register for boot camp to stay in shape. We can improve our fitness (and health) by alternativly walking 6K (about 3 miles) to 10K steps per day. The goal is to boost our vitality and overall health, put one foot in front of the other at least 6K times per day. By walking about 6K steps (about 3 miles) daily will decrease the risk of heart disease and diabetes. People who walk 6K steps per day are less likely to be obese. To keep ourselves motivated, we need to invest in a pedometer to count the number of steps we take daily. Tracking our steps will help us set goals and makes us stay accountable. If 6K steps feels way too daunting, try with just 2K per day and then work your way up to 6K or more steps each and every day.

Frank Yan has been an active member of Cal Fit in the Sacramento area, Prime Time Boxing in Sacramento and Roseville, 24hr Fitness in the Sacramento area, and it’s various locations across nation, or may be in the gym at the hotels he will stay during his travels.

Frank Yan of Sacramento on Effective Time Management

Sacramento business man, Frank Yan says, 24 hours in a day isn’t just enough. And 8 hours for work just barely covers the follow up’s, emails, paperwork, client calls, voice mail messages, etc.

Any of this sound familiar? Other salesmen constantly tell Frank at his Alldata office that they are on the run the moment they get in the office. Opening up their email can take them on a hour journey away from what they should be doing to drive sales like the prospecting and closing.

The true answer to this is in effective time management. Frank just spoke to a friend on this subject, and has boiled down the fundamentals to help you leverage the time you time so you can get the important things on your calendar done sooner.

You should identify the most important things to do each and everyday, and then do them. Identifying these priorities is easy. Each and every night before you leave the office to go home, make a list of all the things you need to do the next following day.

As soon as you’ve identified the important tasks, you should make them your top priorities for the next following day and commit to getting them done. Unlike most people who struggle with many conflicting activities that rob them of their time, by adopting this habit, you’ll move into the top 5% of your peers.

You should begin each day with your top two priorities and work each one diligently through until it’s absolutely completed. Then mark it done and complete the next one. Try to resist any temptations to multitask other activities while you are working on your top priorities first, and never begin the next one until you are finished with the first one. Working each one at a time through completion is the key ingredient to success.

This will definitely build a lot of momentum, a huge sense of empowerment and accomplishment, and the most important you will actually be getting your important priorities done each day.

Then begin with your most difficult priority first. Accomplishing most difficult yet important task will always lead to more success and always frees up the most energy. Once those difficult ones are out of the way, you can easily and more enjoyably take on your other tasks of the day.

The majority of people tend to the opposite: they put off the hard tasks and get all caught up in the time. This is a sure recipe for feeling overwhelmed. Do the opposite and begin with the hard ones first, and watch your day get simpler

Group your other activities. Checking email, paperwork, checking voicemail, etc. these activities can be incredible time drains. The worst thing to do is to continuously check them every few minutes. Especially emails. Come up with a schedule. Maybe after you mark one priority done, allow 15-20 minutes to check these minor things and then immediately go right back to your next priority. Non-essential activities are especially are best at the end of the day.

Although many of these things seem important you should not get all tied up in them. You must stick to your top priorities. Grouping your activities allows you to get all of the other ‘stuff’ done but not at the expense of your priorities.

Last but not least. Prepare your next day the night before. Right before you leave the office at the end of the day, be sure you have your written a list of priorities and grouped activities timed and written down. This will help you stick to a set schedule when you get to the office the following day, and that’s effective time management.

This also allows you to get more rest because you’re not worrying about or planning your day when you arrive the next morning at the office.

These are the effective time management skills that Frank Yan adopts in his daily routine at his Alldata office. Any one of these habit will make you more productive, reduce your stress, and help you get more out of your day. If you use them all together, you’ll be amazed by how much more successful you’ll be as well.

Frank has practiced these important traits from his first sales career at Ameriquest to his sales at Alldata and mastered this as it has always positioned him on top of his sales.

Frank Yan of Sacramento on Giving All You Can

Frank Yan of Sacramento posts a related article: Achieving Your Full Potential

The meanings of just all about any thing in life comes from the energy, effort and the time, we can provide it, according to Sacramento businessman Frank Yan. Any thing that we can get for free, without any commitment or work is worth about what we pay for it, which is absolutely nothing.

To demand a life that will be as free and easy, free of any effort is to wish for a life with very little fulfillment. Before we can ever complain about our life remember that much of our life's richness comes from working to transcend the obstacles that we face every day.

A wonderful life is filled with very meaningful effort. Every single challenge that we face will bring multiple opportunities to respond with good, rewarding and useful effort.

When we begin to expect getting something for nothing, the most we can get in return is nothing. However when we make out the best of each and every opportunity to give of ourselves, there is not a limit to the goodness and value we enjoy.

Frank Yan asked a few of his colleagues in Sacramento if they ever felt so sorry for themselves because they had so much work to do? His answers were quite stunning. The next time we ever sense the feeling coming on, make the decision to turn it around.

Enthusiastically and joyful lets embrace the effort, as well as the opportunity to make a change. Life is awesome when we give ourselves to it. Always make it our business to give all we can.

Frank Yan of Sacramento on The Dangers of Energy Drinks

Heart problems, hypertension, and diabetes? Sacramento businessman Frank Yan says to we should refrain from consuming to many energy drinks, which can cause a surge in our heart rate and in our blood pressure.

People with heart problems, hypertension, and diabetes might want to avoid drinking too much of energy drinks. While waiting at his appointment, Frank Yan visited his Sacramento massage therapist and read that studies have been made that these high octane energy drinks can cause a spike in our heart rate and blood pressure, that can increase the risk of anxiety, arrhythmia, and insomnia. It also mentioned that many possible negative effects even for healthy people who consume these drinks habitually. Even to those people that have no health issues can probably consume small amounts with out any problems, however to those whom consume large quantities, whether if they are in a single sitting or through out the entire day, are mostly more likely to encounter unwanted side effects.

According to what Frank read, every person who volunteered to consumed a n energy drink with about 360 mg of caffeine developed cardiac arrhythmia with rapid increased heart rate, insomnia, and anxiety.
Frank Yan also read that research found that the blood pressure of those healthy volunteers rose higher in those who drank Rockstars, Red Bull, Monster, that contained 80 mg of caffeine, than in those whom drank 80 mg of caffeine alone. It is the combined ingredients in these so called “energy drinks, rather than caffeine itself, that can cause temporary rapid heart beat, arrhythmia, and high pressure.

Frank used to consume these so called “energy” drinks right before his busy work schedule prior to work instead of coffee. He has now learned the dangers of the energy drinks and has discontinued buying them at his local Coscto in Sacramento.
